Government grants are available for businesses to develop commercial solutions on five levels:-
1. Proof of Market - small scale projects lasting between 3 and 9 months.
2. Micro grants - to develop a simple, low cost prototypes of an innovative product or process
3. Research grants - to take it to the next level and test out the feasibility,
4. Development grants - to actually do it…develop the idea and take it to market.
5. Exceptional project grants - exceptional research or development projects are for the development of a new technology that is strategically important to an industrial or technology sector
